Glane X Drops Two New Tracks

Glane X’s “Passing Judgement” and “So Many Bodies” are two compositions that provide an honest look at what the streets can bring about. They’re songs that delve into that world, without glamorizing it or even making it seem like the worst thing ever. Yes, being around that sort of life, it’s not for the faint of heart. Nor is it for those who don’t really understand the why behind someone who opts for these choices. However, both songs–especially on “So Many Bodies”–are honest but don’t judge their listeners or the people Glane refers to. Instead, he becomes a combination of a reporter of things he’s seen and an eyewitness for things he’s been through himself. It presents them in a way that’s equally blunt and straightforward.

On “So Many Bodies,” the rapper laments over those who’ve permanently left his side in a way that doesn’t glamorize anything. Instead, we get a look into the other side of things. Glane’s vivid wordplay allows us to put ourselves in the predicament and evaluate using the context clues in the songs and one’s own intuition. For me, there’s a mix between image-heavy conscious hip-hop and more trap alignments, production-wise, in Glane’s songs. They’re bops, but they’ve got a ton to say. Honestly, the brother’s energy reminds me a bit of 50.
