(Not A) SOTBMusic Review: @CharlesHamilton – Hamilton, Charles

As previously discussed in yesterday’s look at This Perfect Life, I’ve been a CH fan, even if I haven’t always agreed with his real-life actions. But, as someone who’s also bipolar and is trying to get his stuff together, I’ll champion him (it also helps that he’s still a dope lyricist). So, imagine my surprise and happiness when he announced his official debut Hamilton, Charles. The 12-track project is the album we’ve expected from Hamilton since his first projects. It’s bouncy, it’s profound, it’s a perfect distant cousin to one of today’s other big releases, Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only. Both stories deal with intertwined stories. As with 4YEO, now’s the time I shut up and let the music talk.
