New SOTBMusic: @Jay_Wyse – Dedicated

Selling out has always been a topic in hip-hop music. Should artists go pop/mainstream and give up their grit just for a few moments in the spotlight or should they remain dedicated to what’s gotten them this far and grow from there? While selling out, in some ways, isn’t inherently bad, Baltimore’s Jay Wyse is taking the latter road to greatness. “Dedicated,” a piano-laden track, features Wyse talking on why he’s not going mainstream (in the traditional sense) and calls out some of his contemporaries to not “sell [their] souls to get on [or] be a puppet on somebody’s arm.”
