Stalley went into his bag on this one, titled “Soul Searching,” and pulled out something akin to Curren$y mixed with some Cole. Calling out mumble rappers and those who’ve doubted him, Stalley continues with his “intelligent trunk music” wave. This one, slated to appear on Stalley’s New Wave project (due out next Friday) is solid. The lyrics don’t take a backseat to the flow, even though his flow is the best part of this track.
