He speaks on current events while also flexing his lyrical muscles and, in his own words, giving something that “cater[s] to each individual.” Between talking on racial injustices, COVID and the plight of an indie artist, Twon leaves nothing to chance and leaves no stone unturned. Cliches aside, it’s a great project, one that’s length feels right at home in the shifting artist landscape of 2020. You want more, but he knows how to leave the project without overstaying his lyrical welcome. Twon has always been the type of artist who’s created his own lane, and the God Complex EP is no exception to this musical rule.
