LIO Wants to Put His Lover on Repeat Like a “Playlist”

LIO’s “Playlist” is a catchy but tasty jam. It’s one of those type of songs that’s radio-ready AF, there’s no denying that. However, it has a lot of moments that aren’t like everything else out there. For instance, the track features LIO singing about his partner and how he wants to keep them around and repeat their nights together. He doesn’t want to skip over anything.

Playlist puns aside, “Playlist” is a dope song which features some catchy parts and some honest-to-goodness “baby you’re flyer than the rest of them” parts. As I said on another track this month, in an R&B world that’s seemingly becoming more jaded, “Playlist” is a refreshing take on a concept as old as time. The LA-based artist’s latest single may have you asking “where’s the album?”
