Below, we have the latest from J. Crum and Gerry Skrillz, “Not Mine.”
What I love about this one is the beat sounds very dramatic and the flows from each artist complement each other. From the bit of auto-tune employed on the first verse and the chorus to the rapid-fire approach of verse two, the song gives us two things. It provides radio-ready sensibilities while giving us a bit of hustler’s ambition wrapped around a can-do attitude. In other words, it’s a solid track that is for the people who have vampires around them. Check out the song above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
UPDATE: 11/5/21
The video for the song has been released; check it out below. I love the visuals and how the interlude of the video pokes fun at record label deals. To be honest, we can probably do a lot better without crappy deals holding artists down. I know that deals can help, but sometimes they can hurt artists more than they’d ever help.
