TaReef KnockOut Presents “Fruits of My Labor”

TaReef KnockOut’s “Fruits of My Labor” sounds different than what we’ve typically heard and have come to expect from Florida hip-hop. It’s a throwback to boombap lyricism in the vein of a Lupe versus swaggerific, drug-addled bravado in the vein of a Kodak. There’s nothing wrong with sounding like Kodak, per se. However, I tend to prefer hip-hop that doesn’t sound like Kodak. Personal preferences aside, this one is a solid track as it features the Florida rapper laying out his plans for success in a way that sounds like Lupe mixed with Nip. The visuals are solid as well, as they find TaReef at a farmer’s market scoping out the freshest produce, like a rapper scopes out the freshest beats and bars. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
