On “In Other Words,” DC native Hayden Margo sing-raps about love, specifically of the long-distance variety. This is one of those songs that grew on me. That’s mainly because I listened to it about six times back to back. I initially wasn’t a huge fan, but by that multiple listen session, it became one of the coolest songs I’ve heard in the past week. The Mac Miller-meets-Saba beat helps add a bit of tension and emotional weight to the track. The outro, for me, was the best part because it ties in the breakneck pace of the verse with the emotional levels the chorus takes listeners on. “In Other Words” is a solid track, one that I’m glad I chose to feature on SOTB.
