George Kano Blends Multiple Genres on “Cameron”

Above, we have the latest and greatest from George Kano, a multifaceted artist from Japan. This is my first time experiencing what he’s got to offer. However, just off the strength of this track alone, it won’t be the last time. “Cameron” takes jazzy saxophones, a slick guitar solo, a driving drum pattern and ‘90s boombap bars, blends them up into one and lets the result go bonkers on its listeners. I think that the best way to describe this one is, albeit a bit cliched, it’s a genre-bending good time.

It sets out to do multiple things at once, something I personally feel the song does. It’s smooth and funky with a bit of braggy segments. It’s lyrical without sacrificing it’s fun parts. All in all? I like it and the instrumental is one of the song’s strongest points. Check out “Cameron” above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
