I like this one from Indianapolis group Con Queso. I think I like the concept of it more than the execution, and I think the execution was done quite well. “prayhands” is a song which deals with how we all have a-hole moments in our lives. Sometimes, we’re the victim of assholishness. Sometimes, as Con Queso details, we’re actually the assholes. It’s all a matter of perception, truthfully. “prayhandsemojiskintone4” shows us that, even the a-holes don’t always want to be a-holes forever. Instead, it’s a matter of timing and, once again, perception in the story we’re telling or being told.

Sonically, the track takes some elements from contemporary hip-hop a la RTJ. It also takes a few glitch-hop elements such as in the production. All of these sounds come together to create a song that’s full of teachable moments while still being a song you can bob your head along with.
