I love a good acoustic song. Erika Tham’s “Admit It” sounds, to me, more dramatic and poignant in its acoustic form. That’s not to say that the original track isn’t excellent as well. Both versions are amazing and serve different purposes. One is more an homage to Erika’s heritage and one slows the song down and lets the vocals sit with you a bit longer.
The acoustic version is co-performed by Grammy-winning pianist Brian Kennedy, whom some of you may remember for his work on Ciara’s The Evolution album and Rihanna’s “Disturbia.” Suffice it to say, Erika’s in very capable hands on this one. Her vocals and the driving piano instrumentation help make this one as reflective and poignant as possible for an acoustic version.
