Damien Sebe said that he pushed the release of his latest instrumental back from September because he didn’t have confidence in it initially. However, after shopping the track around and getting some feedback to it, he decided against keeping this one locked away. That’s a good thing because this may be his best instrumental I’ve heard from the South African native.
The instrumentation on “Equinox” sounds like a brisk fall day. It’s airy and contemplative but also a bit chill and happy. The guitars utilized on the beat create a mood that’s different than most lo-fi beats I feature on the site. That is, it gave me some warm and fuzzies while listening. The feelings I felt were kind of like a mother’s hug after she and her child came in from a walk. Check out the song below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
