Caitlin Wants To Be Taken Where Her Heart Is

UK singer Caitlin kind of reminds me a bit of an Amy Winehouse type. She’s got a smooth soulfulness to her melancholy lyrics. On “Take Me Where My Heart Is,” she sings about rising back up from a dark place. She wants to take those negative feelings and energies and turn them into something better, something good. By taking control of one’s narrative and life, she sets out to accept the good and bad about her while also empowering herself against the darkness. It’s as much about self-love as it’s about self-improvement (though one can argue those two go hand-in-hand). Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
