Randy Mason and Ganesboro Work on The Narrative on Latest Song

This one has “classic rap” written all over it. From the multisyllabic rhymes to the boombap-heavy beat to some of the mannerisms exhibited on “The Narrative,” we’re taken back to a simpler age of hip-hop–back when not everyone was overly depressed or doped-up. While that type of rap has a place at the table as much as anything else, it can’t all be doped-up sad boi rap. “The Narrative” takes a swing at modern sensibilities and says “enough is enough, let’s try something different.” For the most part, it works as the throwback vibes create something new entirely. It’s a great track, one that feels just as at home in today’s multifaceted hip-hop scene as it would back in the day. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
