When I started this one, I didn’t know what to expect mainly because the hook is a bit of a throw-them-off-the-scent sort of thing. You think you’re going to get a trap rap track with a teeny bit of substance. Then, the bars started hitting over the trap beat and you’re like “oh, snap this is lyrically sound with a lot of multis and it’s actually saying something!” And then, we get a verse from Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire where he does the damn thing (that’s the best I can say without giving you everything from it). Overall, this is a solid track, one that makes me want to hear more from CANYON. Let’s hope that’s sooner rather than later.
