Over a beat that DAZE says “sounds like a bad drug deal,” Mickey DAZE lets the naysayers and the nonbelievers know that, in a few words, they done [messed] up now. What happens over the course of “PRESSURE” is an exercise in lyrical assassination. He cuts through the hazy beat with punchlines for day while also showing why he’s good at what he does. It’s not just that he can rap, as anyone can rap if we want to be real about it. It’s that he raps well and actually manages to tie his punchlines and references together with each other.
