In the Southern Hemisphere, specifically in Australia, it’s now summer. I’m a bit jealous, since we just had our first snowfall in the DMV. The newest track from Cinnamon Sun, “Summer,” gives positive “let’s enjoy life” vibes while also being a bit reminiscent of the past. I’m a huge fan of the bridge beat shift, as it helps tie the song together. The song’s production overall gives summer anthem to go along with the lyrics and the moods presented in them. I think this one has the chance to be an anthem for 2022, because while it’s about summer, the themes presented (spending time with family, enjoying life, etc.) are evergreen.
