Joe Reidy Presents Adjacent

Over a track that sounds like a mix between Mac Miller and C.Shreve the Professor, DMV artist Joe Reidy’s “Adjacent” preaches about finding “peace in the little things.” That’s even while our demons may try to creep up on us. I love the production, as it’s chill and melodic but still very profound-like. The beat’s a definite headnodder.

Meanwhile, while the lyrics are solid and genre-bending. They take that Mac vibe with a bit of a Anderson.Paak sort of sing-rap neo-soul feel to them. The bars are equal parts feel good positive mental health promotion as they are contemplative about our place in the universe. That combination, along with the beat, make this song a track I had to write about. If you couldn’t already tell, I really like this one, as it’s unlike some of the other tracks I’ve received thus far in 2022. Check it out below and do the thing.
