Z Black Presents the Movie Treasure Trove “HBO Max and Relax”

Inspired by the phrase “Netflix and Chill,” Z Black’s “HBO Max and Relax” is a track that has a metric crapload of movie and TV show references while still having a bit of “let’s smash if it comes to that.” In other words, it’s a song after my own nerdy heart. I like this one because of the plethora of references, but I also like it because it’s chill–kind of like a mix between old-school (?) Chance and 2020s hip-hop–but still aggressively stuck in its ways. Here, though, it’s a good thing because “Relax” knows what it is, knows what it wants to accomplish and knows how to do that.

If you’re like me and you’re looking for some chill rap where you can use the “I understood that reference” GIF, this one’s for you. Check it out below and do the thing. Remember to support dope music in all its forms.
