Cardboard People Present Their Alt-Neo-Soul Song and Video “Reach The Sun”

Below, we’ve got the first song I’ve ever heard from Bay Area group Cardboard People. I think the best way to describe this one without giving away too much about the song or the video is this: imagine if Erykah Badu did a song in the vein of “Tom’s Diner” about wanting to be free and free to love how she chooses. I think I’d call this one an alt-neo-soul tune. That’s because it pulls from a lot of different places to make music that makes you feel good while also placing you in a state of higher existence.

In other words, it’s the rare track that warrants its existence by just being and existing in its own right. I love it, plain and simple. It’s a beautiful track and one that may get stuck in your head as a bit of a mantra to reach your own sun. So you know what time it is: check this one out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
