Over laidback production from DevineAbstract, Akete lives up to his promise to “explore the endless possibilities of different sonic textures.” That’s to say, no two bars sound alike and the duo of tracks are both as diverse and lyric-heavy as they are laidback and vibey. “Froze” is the more high-energy track of the two, as it feature Akete on a rapid-fire flow tip. “Chat Bot,” however, is a bit more introspective than “Froze” as it delves into what makes the young artist tick in more ways than one. The visuals are a nice blend of abstract and trippy, opting to utilize negatives and the like to add to the abstractness of it all. In some ways, this forces listeners and viewers to take the words and the images into consideration when trying to figure out what Akete is getting at over the two songs.
