Kate Bush’s viral popularity, post-Stranger Things S4, meant that, eventually, you’d hear samples of “Running Up That Hill.” The first one I’ve heard thus far, Meggaman’s “Make a Deal with God,” finds the Jersey native channeling his inner Roddy Ricch over a booming sample of Kate Bush’s song. I like the energy the young artist exhibits on the song, but also love the flow and lyrics he’s spitting. He’s seen a lot of negative moments, but he’s taking those negatives and growing because of them and turning them into positives.
