LOM, or League of Monsters, caught my ear because of the bevy of anime and nerdy references on “Count the Ways.” On top of that, the alt-rap track, while under two-minutes-long, features LOM getting on a wave that’s a mix between lo-fi and autoturned rap. It’s actually a solid mix, one that I didn’t know I needed until I actually heard “Count.” Lyrically, the song is full of references but also tries to push its listeners to a higher plane, a higher place of existence.
