DIY artist Zion Garcia’s latest makes me believe he’s lying about just being 20. That’s because the beat’s smooth and chopped up so nicely, the flows are diverse and the lyrics are lovely and bar-heavy. Then again, I think about where I was at 20 (double-time rapping over self-produced beats about how nice I was at rap and trying to start doing mental health bars). It’s possible to be wise beyond your years, is the long and short of it. The Western Sydney-residing artist’s one who’s definitely living by that mindset.
