Singer/songwriter Johnny Burgos combined with OYXGN to create this “fiery electrofunk/pop ballad” about the “powerlessness against a love who he knows is taking him for granted.” I like the vocals on this one as well as the production, which is handled by the group OXYGN. This song will appear on Burgos’ upcoming sophomore album, Tangent Cycles, so I’m intrigued to see what’ll come of the project. Everything here comes together in a way that’s a combination of alt-pop, alt-R&B and soul to create the vibes we get on this one.
