Brent Williams Presents “The Fool”

I love the ’90s-inspired vibes on this one. It reminds me of a mix between Usher and Toni Braxton (which is actually a pretty awesome blend). I also like that this one functions as a “love letter to some of the most-influential Black artists of the 90s, but told through a queer lens.”

It’s very upbeat and has a lot of positive viewpoints. That is, on top of saying that Brent’s not going to be “the fool” in his relationships anymore. I’m really here for the vocals and the production, though the message is also pretty awesome. That’s especially because it’s a unique take on a breakup anthem.
