From the sampled audio clip in the beginning to the end, “Sonny’s Triangle” is a lyrical tour de force. MORPH raps over about a minute-plus of beat, methodically but razor-sharp. He covers a wide variety of topics in that little bit of time. I wish this one was longer, but it serves as the outro for his Burnished Sums project (due out November 18th). I usually pass on short tracks like these, but there was something about this one that said “buck trends, post me.” I think it’s his vivid lyricism and somewhat dark humor.
