Anywho, “Christmastime is Here” is one of those special songs to me. That’s not only because it started the special, but it takes me back to when my mom was alive and we’d stay up watching holiday specials and making cookies for Santa. Y’know, normal kid things in a life that wasn’t always so normal or kid-like. This cover captures the magic of the original while also adding a layer of melancholy and contemplativeness.
