Eddie Sing and The 31 Days Present the Politically-Charged “Some Justice Opportunity”

“Some Justice Opportunity” is one of those songs in the vein of, say, RATM. That’s to say it’s politically-charged in all the right ways. It uses its space to speak on police brutality, corruption within the ranks and protestors’ efforts to make their voices heard. It’s one of those songs that isn’t catchy, instead opting for a gritty, somewhat pessimistic sound to discuss the aforementioned issues. However, it’s also one of those tracks that lets it be known that we, as a group, won’t take anymore brutality or bloodshed.

The song originally released on January 6th, 2023–the second anniversary of the insurrection attempt at the U.S. Capitol–along with its parent album, American Split. The project tries to put into words the way that many Americans feel these days. We’re sick and tired of being sick and tired, but we don’t have all the answers just yet (with regards to keeping peace and unity going). The project, again, is in the vein of a RATM or PE. If you like your hip-hop with a message and have it teeter on the edge between alt-rock and rap, this one’s for you.
