Heather DeSanctis Wants to Feel “Safe”

With vocals reminiscent of Alessia Cara, Heather DeSanctis’ “Safe” is about “the moment when you finally meet the person you can heal with…[and] express your authentic self. I love the message behind this song, especially because I’ve been in that situation over the last two years with The Shawty. We’re not perfect. Hell, who is? That said, we’ve been able to progress and heal a bit each passing day we’ve been in each other’s lives. We accept each other’s flaws and the things others may not “get” about us. Things are going quite well, in all honesty. However, this ain’t (completely) about me. Heather DeSanctis’ vocals are crisp and rich. Again, they remind me of Alessia Cara. That’s made doubly true by the stripped-down, acoustic guitar we get to hear throughout the song. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
