Ladi, Zavior and Un! Present “AMAZON”

I enjoyed “Amazon,” the latest from Ladi, because of its laidback production and meshing of sounds reminiscent of Lil Baby meets Steve Lacy with a dash of Donald Glover in the mix. The song is about love, which is still an important part of SOTB this week. It’s more about the push and pull of love and how, sometimes, one is not really sure of who they’re in love with. The song asks the question “is it a trip or is it love?,” meaning that the trio want to figure out if their love is actual love, lust, or something oddly in between. I’m here for the obscure references as well (I’m a nerd, after all), which run the gamut of “things I never thought I’d here in a rap song.” It’s a quirky look into one’s process of processing love. Check it out below and do the thing: support dope music in all its forms.
