Tre Houston Reminisces About the “Schoolyard Days”

Houston-born Tre Houston seemingly has a Chance the Rapper sort of feel to him. He’s positive and uplifting and he’s got bars. His latest, “Schoolyard Days,” finds the rapper and collaborator Dave Tough tapping into nostalgia. And it’s not references just for the sake of references. No, this track discuss (and possibly may be dedicated to) a friend who’s not exactly still fully in their lives. It rings doubly true because Dave Tough had critical health conditions which, after a heart transplant, found Tre and him back in the studio. Now for some more about the song. From the multiple 80s and 90s references to the rapid-fire bars, he delivers on a heartfelt track. And you know I had to feel it, as I usually don’t post about doubletime-spat tracks. Check it out, call your old homie and support dope music in all its forms.
