I know it’s overused, but it’s true: we’ve all been here. We’ve all been in a relationship which starts great then gets rocky. All that time, you’re left there to wonder if you’ll see it through or just up and leave. Marie Dahlstrom’s “Make It Up to You” focuses on seeing it through, specifically because of your determination to do so. The song is melodic, it’s inspiring and its harmonies are infectious in a non-pop sort of way. Yes, they’re a bit subdued at points. That’s what, to me, make them work so well.
