Marie Dahlstrom and Sipprell Speak on “The Process”

Denmark and the UK combine to create this throwback vibe song that reminds me of Aaliyah. The beat is a bit haunting and melancholy, which blends well with the lyrics. Said lyrics are part-love others to gain experience and part-love yourself and take things one step at a time. That’s a great message, if we’re honest with ourselves.

Additionally, I love the vocals from the artists, which help bring the lyrics to life. As the lyrics are also part-self-love, it helps to have the vocals do this; it puts more attention to the content. On top of all of that goodness, I also enjoyed the ’90s-esque video and that sweet guitar solo at the end of the track. This track will feature on Marie’s A Good Life project, which is due out next Monday. For now, check out “The Process” below and support dope music in all its forms.
