Artist Proz Taylor was one of my favorite artists to cover in the early days of SOTB being more of a media hub and less of a “let’s write about my life, music and interview Aurora Jolie”-esque site. Taylor’s “High Beams” grabbed my attention because it’s like a mix between The Weeknd and Rae Sremmurd. I’m a sucker for this type of “can’t fit in the box” alt pop-rap-synthwave sort of track because it doesn’t let you get comfortable with just one vibe. I love it and I’m glad to see that Proz’s inventiveness hasn’t changed since I first covered him. The guy’s got a firm grip on what he wants to do with his music and I applaud him for it.
