Deveau Speaks on the Duality of “Atlanta”

Atlanta, like most major cities, has a duality about its life. There are parts that are well-to-do and there are parts where people will move like a crook moves. I really enjoyed this song, as it reminds me of a mix between Andre 3000, Kendrick and Chance flow-wise (and lyrically at many points as well). I also enjoy the song because its sound is beautiful “Atlanta” discusses the light and darker sides of the city and how much all of it has influenced pop, musical and American culture. It’s a love letter to the city and a warning to those who may take the culture we’ve received from Atlanta for granted.

There’s not really anything else I can say about this one. It’s got incredible bars, great storytelling that’ll make you think about your own hometown (and appreciate it more, flaws and all) and a flow that’s engaging and honest. Check out the song above and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
