I’m going to talk about this more with my Team DAR fam. But, I figured I’d talk a bit about the legendary Prince over on SOTB as well. You can never have too much Prince in your life, especially since, let’s be real, the guy’s a legend and is still somewhat underrated (“underratedness” seems to be […]
Read more#300WordsorLess Review: @Rihanna – Anti
Anti is, as other reviewers have stated, is full of chilled-out, smoky, post-party jams that have more of a vibe of “let’s fuck, smoke & (maybe) love after clubbing” versus solely “let’s turn up at the club.” As a person who’s, admittedly, not the biggest Rihanna fan, I came in with tempered expectations–especially after the ho-hum drop which […]
Read moreHas The Weeknd Gone "Pop?"
Now, that’s what you call clickbait. In the past couple weeks, we’ve gotten two new Weeknd tracks. One, “The Hills,” is dark, haunting, atmospheric, drug-addled “fuck deez hoes” amazement. And his brother has done pretty damn well for himself, too, in case you don’t know (if you don’t, for shame. Go bury your head in sand somewhere). I’m talking about no other […]
Read moreAn interview with True God, Part Four
Today, I sit down with #TeamDAR compatriot True God once again to make heads or tails of, pretty much, his life since his whole world ended. Things get real, even more so than usual in this one. So, sit back and let’s begin. It’s going to be a hell of a ride. SOTB: So True, […]
