I love that Dee-1 never puts himself into a box. He never stops dropping dope music, and music that doesn’t glorify negativity or mental slavery. Now, some of his bars here, they may raise some eyebrows, but that’s the beauty of this guy’s music. He’s never above admitting he’s had his times, nor is he delivering this in a way that’s elitist. That, by itself, deserves props.
