New SOTBMusic: @AlanZMusic Revisits 90s R&B in Color Me Bad

Alan Z always delivers, either with a hot track or a thought-provoking video. This time, he went a bit of a different route. “Color Me Bad,” from First Time’s The Charm, isn’t a bad song by any means. It lives up to its 90s R&B namesake by being sexy but not raunchy. It’s a bit of a different vibe for Alan and is a bit reminiscent (for me) to his video for the track “Distance.” Again, not a bad thing. Just…different, especially with the Harold and Kumar-inspired scenes of crushing.
However, it’s cool to see Alan get back to heartthrob-esque antics on “Color Me Bad” and his vocal range is constantly maturing. I remember back when he sent me his first demo, a sparse stripper-friendly anthem. To go from that to “Color Me Bad,” which was produced by CHOPS, shows that, with enough hard work and dedication, you can live out your dreams. Check out “Color Me Bad”‘s video below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
