SOTBMusic: Trilla Remixes "Suge" in "F.U.N."

D.C. hip-hop artist Trilla recently dropped her The F.U.N Tape project, which features her lyrics over mainstream instrumentals. On Monday, she dropped the video for “F.U.N.,” which is a remix of DaBaby’s “Suge.”

Trilla has fun in the clip, which features her riding through a Target at an unspecified location (they originally were going to shoot the video in White Marsh, but because of, in her words, “shitty reasons,” they had to go elsewhere). She attacks the beat with jabs at her competition, dudes who want to get at her, and more–but doesn’t lose the playfulness, which is a plus. It makes her stand out in a sea of artists who have hardbody lyrics. The visuals are colorful, contrasting the harshness of Trilla’s bars. It’s an interesting visual, but one that, again, helps her stand out among the crowd.
