SOTBMusic: Ano Bank$ Delivers Some Perfection on ‘KAMILI’

I first found out about Ano Bank$ through a submission to the site. I was impressed by his work and delivered my thoughts on his tracks. Over the past year or so, he’s ramped up his output and his creativity. The result is the recently-released EP, KAMILI, named for the Swahili word for “perfect.”

The six-track project was released to celebrate Banks’ son’s seventh birthday (and a reference to God’s perfect number). Throughout KAMILI, we get a mix of sounds from the Illinois artist. We get our lyrically-impressive tracks and we get our dark undertones and rhymes over more ambient beats. Essentially, we get a grab bag of artistry. This allows listeners to delve into what makes Ano Bank$ an artist who revels in his unique approach to contemporary sounds. It’s a perfect way for Bank$ to cap off 2019; it gives us what we’ve come to expect, it ups the lyrical ante, and it leaves listeners wanting more.
