Drex Carter Says He “can’t talk right now”

Drex Carter of seeyousoon is working on new solo music. The first of five songs to be released, “Sorry, I can’t talk right now.” features producer G93 tapping into the lo-fi aesthetic to give Drex a chill track to flow over. And flow, he does–almost as much as he floats on the beat. Drex’s strong suit here is that his laidback delivery works well with these sorts of beats. However, it also helps that he has lyrics to go along with the flow. The track is almost delivered in a sort of conversational tone, as if he’s giving listeners reasons why things may have changed up a bit. Things are looking up for the Orlando native on this track, so check it out and remember to support dope music in all its forms.

Drex Carter’s latest is a chill look at the come-up for many underground artists and all that comes with it.
