What held me to the track longer than even the lyrics was the beat. It felt like something Nas would’ve rapped over, as it was both emotionally poignant and ripe for lyrical evisceration. The self-proclaimed bedroom producer showed out on this production and gave a beat for Skyzoo and Hype to exhibit some of the best bars I’ve heard this year.
