Little known SOTB Fact of the Day: I love R&B and (some) pop groups. The way that a few voices can come together to harmonize on a song? Man, lemme tell you! I’ve come to find that there are few things better than a good harmony. I’d even include Bone Thugs in that group because of the way they use(d) their voices as instruments. Earlier today, I had the chance to check out a UK girl group by the name of CALYCO (which I’m assuming is pronounced like the cat). Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I’m glad I did, though, because “Dance With U” is one of those feel-good, infectious pop songs that still manages to have some soul attached to it.

The quintet, composed of group members Angel, Chloe, Izzy, Julie and Tyger, let it be known that they’re looking for a nice time with a special someone. They let it be known with solid vocals and a pop-funk sound. It’s catchy to the point I found myself whistling the melody of the chorus without realizing it. All in all, it’s a helluva track if you’re looking for something a bit more airy than some of the R&B I tend to post on SOTB. Check it out below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
