As a rapper/producer who’s been involved with a few wrestling-centric projects (check out the Eyes on the Ring duology from True God and DAR Elite if you haven’t already), I’m here for rappers who wrestlerap. However, it’s got to be done well; can’t just make an Eric Bischoff name pun and leave it at that.
Jehdi’s “Attitude Era” features a ton of wrestling-friendly lines, mainly focused on WWE and WCW (which makes sense since the track is dedicated to that era of wrestling) over an old-school production. It’s one of those tracks that’s bombastic and boombappy while still managing to be engaging on a nerdy level. I love this one and songs like it. It’s partly “I understood that reference” and mostly “finally, someone who makes a Survivor Series punchline that I’m not directly affiliated with. YES!” Check out the track below and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
