When someone approaches me with something like “Tell Him,” my ears perk up almost instantaneously. Not only is the song a collaboration with one of my favorite R&B artists, but it’s beautiful and smooth and discusses what happens when words don’t have the same effect in a relationship as they once did. A kiss sometimes takes the power from your lips, as mused about here, and we’re left trying to figure out the best way to approach the situation.

I love the melody and the vocals on this one, as they create a soundscape of worry and doubt while also creating one of “we’re going to figure this out–somehow.” I love this song and I’m grateful that the team working to push this one sent it my way.
