Yesterday, Katie LaDubz made her SOTBMusic debut with “Say So.” I didn’t think she’d be back on the site so soon, but such is life. “Jaded” is another song from her Lite Work project which dropped this month and, truth be told? It’s one that’s made my ears perk up to LaDubz as a whole. She reminds me a bit of a more-poppy Lex Rush. And since I count Lex as one of my favorite indie rappers, that’s a healthy heaping of praise from where I’m standing.

“Jaded” features vocals from Sarah Peterson on the hook, which gives the song an additional edge in some ways. The hook gets your attention, because we all know that one person who doesn’t want to do anything but suck our energy dry. It’s when the bars start up is where the song gets really good. LaDubz has a witty approach to her lyrics and her flow is pretty solid, too. All in all, it’s good music so do the thing. Check it out below and support dope music in all its forms.
