On the Chill “Gas,” Rae.Dianz Provides Self-Care Vibes for a Love-Filled Smoke Session

Philly’s Rae.Dianz (pronounced “radiance”) is one in a long line of neo-soul-tinged rap artists from her city. What drew me in on “Gas” is that the song is equally sensual but also digs deep into self-care and self-love. As someone who’s struggled with my own self-care through the years, I appreciated this one. I also just loved that, well, it’s a vibe. I love Rae’s vocals, as they kind of remind me of a mix between Jill Scott and Eve. That’s to say there’s a smoothness but a bit of a rawness to what she’s putting down as well. It’s good stuff, truly. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more sensual tonight, this one’s up your alley. Check it out–and its parent EP–and remember to support dope music in all its forms.
