Over a soulful beat, Frank D discusses thanking God for blessing you–regardless if things are great or not-so-good. Sonically, this one reminds me a bit of a Curren$y track or something KRIT would’ve put out earlier in his career. Because of that, this one hits a sweet spot between real, somewhat gritty lyricism about real-world issues and smooth vibes (just like Spitta or KRIT). I’m a huge fan of the chorus because it’s easily chanted. Add that in with a beat that’s bass-heavy and, once again, soulful AF and you’ve got a solid song about thanking your higher power. As things can swing from bad to good like a pendulum, this is something that should be taken into consideration by everyone, regardless your religious affiliation.
